Description

The 12" Windows System ICE LV TDR Cable Fault Locator is a precision instrument designed for detecting and locating faults in low-voltage cables. Its advanced Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) technology provides accurate fault detection for efficient cable maintenance and troubleshooting.

 Power cables can be divided into:

Low-voltage cables (cables with voltage levels of 6kV and below). 

Medium-voltage cables (cables with voltage levels of 6kV and above, 35kV and below).

High-voltage cables (cables with voltage levels of 66kV and above).

And cable faults can be divided into open circuit faults, low resistance faults, leakage high resistance faults, and flashover high resistance faults according to their nature.

 

How to judge cable faults

In general, there are three ways to judge the nature of cable faults:

Judge by insulation resistance meter, multi-meter. 

Judge by cable pre-test results. 

Judge by "cable fault tester". Low-resistance and open-circuit faults (high-resistance) can be directly judged by the "low-voltage pulse method" test waveform of a multi-meter or a "cable fault tester".
